image 2.5 got the sword coming at the camera. getting the hand right was harder

i wanted to see if I could get that coming-at-you feeling without putting a giant sword in the foreground. The empty-hand version gets pretty close, but it took quite a few retries to get there. Making the hand huge was easy enough. Making the fingers look human at that angle was the annoying part. These started as a black and white wuxia / ink wash experiment. The wide, side-on shot was my starting point: ivory robes, a mostly black background, fabric flowing across the frame. I liked the look, but the whole scene felt like something I was watching from a safe distance. Even with all that movement, nothing was coming toward me. Pointing the sword straight at the lens changed that. The blade takes up the foreground and leads your eye back to his face, so there's a much clearer sense of distance. That got me wondering how much of the effect depended on the sword. I kept the idea of something reaching toward the camera, took the weapon out, and brought an open hand forward instead. That's where the perspective got more hit or miss. Push the hand far enough forward and the fingers start looking alien. Pull it back and you lose some of the effect I was after. I also pushed the speed lines and ink splatter in that version, which helps the motion but makes the image feel more like a manga panel. Some of the texture is still too busy for me. The wide shot has room for the robes to stand out; the hand version has a lot competing for attention. For the model details, I used Image 2.5 through atlas cloud: flare version for both sword images, sunburst version for the hand. They share a base prompt, with changes to the pose, perspective and effects. Since I changed the composition as well as the model, these don't tell me which one would handle the same pose better. For people who've tried this kind of extreme perspective, would you start with a pose reference, or get a simpler pose working and edit toward the angle you want?
