Anyone else finding ChatGPT increasingly condescending and exhausting to use?

I've been using ChatGPT for a long time, and lately, with 6, I feel like I'm spending more and more time fighting it to get it to actually follow what I'm saying. It keeps diluting my wording, softening things I explicitly want to express, and adding guidelines or little lectures I never asked for. It feels like talking to a patronizing father who doesn't quite believe your account of something and insists on explaining why you should frame it differently. I'm a GP, and I often use it to help write clinical notes. Today I described an unpleasant interaction and asked for a note reflecting what happened. It repeatedly softened the patient's behaviour and even changed the consultation policy I'd explicitly provided. I had to correct it several times before it finally wrote what I'd asked for. My prompting hasn't changed. These are tasks it used to handle without this much friction. I'm perfectly happy to be corrected when I'm factually wrong. But having to repeatedly convince a tool to preserve what I'm saying is terribly tiring. Then you get the “you're absolutely right, I shouldn't have done that” apology, and somehow the next interaction feels exactly the same. I'm paying for something that's supposed to make my work easier, and increasingly it feels like another thing I have to manage. I'm honestly considering switching to another paid service.
